National Science Week Ambassadors might be a bit like Pringles… once we popped, we couldn’t stop! So, we’ve added one more fabulous science communicator to our line-up for 2026.
Meet Maria Ruberto, one of Australia’s leading experts helping us understand the science of sleep – why our brains need it, what really happens while we’re asleep, and why getting enough quality sleep is one of the most important things we can do for our health.
We promise listening to her is the opposite of a snooze-fest!
You can listen to Maria (and our 7 other Ambassadors) on radio stations around Australia during National Science Week, where they’ll share stories about how their work in STEM matters to all Australians.
Do you know a researcher, or someone who’s work involves science, that you think would make a great National Science Week ambassador for next year? Let us know by emailing scienceweek@questacon.edu.au.
