Session 1
9.30am to 11am, AEST
- Rationale: Why it’s worth writing excellent and easy-to-read reports for non-technical readers
- On paper: How savvy project managers should document discussions
- Value system: Criteria for effectively communicating technical and research content through figures, tables, graphics, illustrations, photos, and video.
- Feedback corner: Questions and answers relating to material covered.
Session 2
2pm to 4.30pm, AEST
- Vetting: How to check and cross-check facts.
- Writing technical documents: Strategies for translating complex material into clear, accessible forms, including report planning, structure and crafting engaging, accurate leads.
- Client strategies: Tips for conducting productive discussions with clients, including voice and gesture coaching, role-play exercises and the recording and review of simulated interviews.
Upon completion of the course, attendees may seek further advice and guidance by email or telephone for a period of up to one month after the workshop is finished. This provides an additional opportunity to hone skills and prepare captivating reports.
