National Science Week school theme for 2026: Seeds of Science: Nurturing knowledge for all
To celebrate the National Science Week theme and our special exhibition at WA Museum Boola Bardip, OceanXperience, we are excited to present a special livestream to the team aboard the R/V OceanXplorer research vessel.
The R/V OceanXplorer allows a team of scientists and engineers to travel the world's oceans, gaining further understanding of this vast ecosystem and its inhabitants to assist with conservation efforts. The R/V OceanXplorer has an array of high-tech equipment such as ROV's and laboratories. Nurture the knowledge of your students by joining this webinar and hearing from world-class scientists at the cutting edge of scientific research.
What would you like to ask a scientist aboard the R/V OceanXplorer? Classes and schools that register their interest via the link above will be sent an email one week before the webinar date with instructions on how to pre-submit questions that may be asked during the live webinar. Start compiling your list of questions now.
Schools that are registered will be sent the link to the live Virtual Lab webinar two days before the event. The webinar will be hosted on the Zoom platform which can be joined from any internet browser.
NOTE: For schools outside Western Australia, the livestream event will start at 10.00am AWST (GMT+8).
