Our vision is to inspire learners of all ages to explore careers in agricultural science by equipping them with foundational skills and knowledge. Our program centres on the humble seed — the beginning of plant life and the basis of food production for humans and animals. Students will engage with a variety of seed types, observe germination, and explore seedling and crop growth through hands‑on garden activities. While many STEM programs emphasise robotics and engineering, our focus is to spark and sustain interest in Agricultural Science, a field central to the Darling Downs community. Our activities will appeal to curious minds young and old, supported by science‑themed prizes and competitions such as “Guess the Seed Type” and “How Many Seeds in the Jar?”. Additional activities include word searches, seed art, plastic‑cup glasshouses and creating “hairy wheatgrass heads”, which students will take home to inspire learning beyond the classroom
