Join iLAuNCH Trailblazer and University of Southern Queensland, along with CSIRO, for a space-themed family fun day to Springfield. 

We'll offer a thrilling array of activities that will ignite curiosity and wonder about the vast universe beyond our planet. Activities will provide an engaging and educational experience for all ages, fostering a love for space and science in the community.

The Space Family Fun Days will be held during the University of Southern Queensland’s Open Days so there will be lots of opportunities for fun. Food trucks will also be available to purchase food. 

Activities include:

• Virtual Reality Space Mission to the ISS: Hop on board the International Space Station and see where our astronauts train, work and study!
• Explore our mobile Mission Operation Centre (MOC): Experience our new facility designed to support space launches and remote operations and take turns docking the International Space Station in our simulation activity. 
• Face Painting: Get your face painted with stars, rockets, your favourite planets or any design of your choosing. 
• Solar Observation: Observing the sun’s burning face safely through specially designed telescopes is a fascinating experience. Our expert astronomers can provide a unique daytime viewing of the sun and answer all your questions.
• Talks from Rocket Scientists: Find out more about a career in space by Rocket Scientist and Space Engineer Professor Matt Richardson.
• Air Rockets: Launch air rockets with a Rocket Science 101 lesson.
• Space Slime: Make your own space themed slime. 
• DJ and Chill Zone: Enjoy music from our awesome DJ with dedicated chill zones and table tennis.
• Meet our RoboDog: Say hello to our Robot dog
• Gaming Hub: Enjoy our gaming hub for our classic racing games.
• Planetarium Experience: Enter our cosmo dome to explore the universe.
