SexTistics

  • - (AEST)
  • City Hall
57-63 Macquarie Street, Hobart, TAS 7000, Australia

“Kinky History” star and world’s most charismatic sex historian Dr Esmé Louise James returns to Beaker Street with a whole new show to shed light on our innermost desires and just how common they really are… and she’s bringing her mum!

SexTistics is a cheeky, data-driven deep dive into our modern sex lives. Combining their respective knowledge of human sexual history and statistics, Esmé and mathematician mum Dr Susan James are on a mission to explore our intimate lives, helping to erase taboos and perhaps inspire a bit more bedroom exploration. Built on survey responses from more than 11,000 people worldwide, the show offers a revealing look at everything from kinks to consent, marriage to masturbation... busting myths and proving that sex is messy, funny, vulnerable, and deeply human.

This is an 18+ event.

SexTistics has been developed with funding from Screen Australia and VicScreen.

This event is part of Beaker Street Festival. Smart, surprising, and seriously entertaining: Beaker Street Festival is bringing its signature mix of science, art, and connection back to Lutruwita/Tasmania this August.
