Seeds of Science - Nurturing Knowledge For All

  • - (AEST)
  • Smithton Primary School
Grant Street, Smithton, TAS 7330, Australia

At Smithton Primary School, science isn’t just something you learn—it’s something you grow!

Welcome to Seeds of Science, where curious minds plant big questions and watch them bloom into amazing discoveries. Just like a tiny seed can grow into something incredible, your ideas can grow into experiments, inventions, and new ways of understanding the world.

Whether it's mixing, building, exploring, or asking “why?”, this is a chance for students to dig in, get their hands dirty, and let their imagination take root. Because here at Smithton Primary, every student is a scientist in the making—and every great idea starts as a seed! Students from Smithton Primary school will enter an item into the local science fair. Preps are making houses with grass seeds grown at the front of the house, Year 1/2s are making cress heads, Year 3/4s are making salty snowflakes and Years 5/6 are making their own seed paper.
