Edgars Creek Primary School will hold its annual Science Day celebration on the 20th of August 2026. The whole school will participate in a day of curiosity, creativity, and experimentation. The focus of the day is to plant the seeds of a love for all things Science among our students. ECPS Students will test their engineering and design skills as they innovate tall structures and compete to show off their sturdy designs. A physics projectile activity will also allow students to test their engineering and design skills as they aim to create their own air cannons. Students will experiment with seed dispersal methods by mimicking helicopter seeds with a fun hands-on biology and physics craft. Students will also create DIY bouncy balls and test their trajectory, using their knowledge of chemistry and physics. Students will also attend a science show incursion, where they can participate in a range of science activities to pique their curiosity and interest.
The day will include exploration of STEM and plant the seeds of a love for science for years to come.
