Get Ready to Wonder, Explore and Discover! Come along to a fun and exciting Science Week Storytime Adventure, specially designed for our local Kindy and Prep–Year 2 children! This event is all about sparking curiosity, asking big questions, and discovering how amazing science can be in our everyday world.

Storytime Adventure

We will begin with an engaging and interactive story that connects to this year’s Science Week theme. As we read together, children will be encouraged to:

• Make predictions (“What do you think will happen next?”)
• Notice interesting details
• Share their own ideas and wonderings

The story will help children see how science is all around us—from tiny insects and plants to weather, materials, and the world we live in.

Hands-On Science Fun

After the story, it’s time to become little scientists! Children will rotate through simple, hands-on activities that match the theme. These may include:

• Observation Stations
  Look closely at objects using magnifying glasses, sort and classify items, and talk about what we notice.
• Mini Experiments
  Try fun, safe experiments such as mixing, building, or testing to see what happens and why.
• Create and Make
  Make something to take home—like a simple science craft or model connected to the story and theme.
• Think Like a Scientist
  Children will be encouraged to ask questions, describe what they see, and share their ideas using simple scientific language.
