Get ready to explore, create and discover during our whole-school Science Week celebration at Lathlain Primary School!
For over 8 years, our school has proudly run exciting Science Week activities that encourage students to think like scientists, engineers and inventors. This year, students from across the school will rotate through a variety of hands-on STEM stations connected to the 2026 Science Week theme.
Thanks to this grant, one of our featured stations will use Pathfinders robotics kits, where students will work together to solve challenges using coding, problem-solving and teamwork. Students will experiment, test ideas and learn how technology can help people in the real world.
The event is designed so every student can participate, regardless of age or experience. Activities will be short, engaging and highly interactive, allowing students to explore science, technology, engineering and mathematics through play and creativity. Students may build, investigate, code, design and complete problem-solving tasks while working collaboratively with their classmates.
Our Science Week event aims to spark curiosity, build confidence and show students that STEM learning can be exciting, creative and fun. By providing hands-on experiences, we hope to inspire students to ask questions, think critically and develop skills that will support their future learning.
This event will have a whole-school impact, with more than 500 students participating throughout the week.
