Join us to monitor Local Port River Saltmarsh on Kaurna Country!

Saltmarsh ecosystems are vital for healthy waterways—they provide shelter for juvenile fish, recycle nutrients and stabilise shorelines. They are important, but often overlooked habitats that are under threat from human impacts.

Come along for a saltmarsh working bee to learn more about local plants, monitor existing saltmarsh habitats, and help get hands-on with supporting habitat recovery.

Local OzFish staff will provide monitoring training, along with gloves and safety equipment as part of the event.

Suitable for ages 12+

What to bring

• Closed-toe shoes that can handle muddy or uneven terrain.

• Suitable clothing for working outdoors.

• Hat, sunscreen and insect repellent.

• Drink bottle and snacks.

We will postpone the event if heavy rain is forecast but will go ahead in showers.
