Red Dirt Poetry Festival will take wing with our opening night event: Passageways [Caminos]
Our first event for the festival is Passageways [Caminos] where science meets poetry. This year, we have joined forces with Chile's International Poetry Festival (ACRUX - Festival Internacional de Poesia) to create a unique cultural exchange, connecting communities from coasts to deserts through shared dark skies and waterways.
With nine poets – six Australian and three Chilean – working with Australian Scientists to explore three core concepts, waterways, signways and skyways, merging poetry with science.
