Join us for a special evening celebrating National Science Week in South Australia and recognising the outstanding citizen science projects being honoured through this year's Citizen Science Awards.
This event is an opportunity to acknowledge the volunteers, event organisers, partners, community groups and supporters who helped make National Science Week a success, while celebrating the importance of year-round STEM engagement. Through the presentation of the Citizen Science Award, we will recognise the valuable role citizen science plays in connecting communities with research, contributing to scientific knowledge, and inspiring ongoing participation in science beyond National Science Week.
Guests will enjoy a grazing table and receive a complimentary drink on arrival while connecting with others who are passionate about science engagement and community participation in STEM.
MOD. will keep its galleries open throughout the evening, providing guests with an opportunity to experience one of South Australia's most innovative science engagement spaces. By connecting researchers, industry and the community, MOD. creates unique opportunities to be inspired by new ideas and emerging possibilities, making it a fitting venue to celebrate the impact of National Science Week, the Citizen Science Awards, and the ongoing importance of public engagement with science.
The evening is presented by the National Science Week Committee, the Department for Environment and Water, and the Australian Citizen Science Association, SA Chapter.
