Get ready to dig in and discover the amazing world of plants! In this hands-on science adventure, students will take the lead in a student-led exhibition, where they design and create their own mini ecosystems — from sunny habitats to cooler environments — and share their learning with younger students.
Acting as real scientists, they will explain different climate conditions and how these affect plant growth, helping younger learners explore big ideas through engaging, peer-led activities.
Budding scientists will make their very own seed bombs, experiment with growing plants in light and dark conditions, and uncover the secrets hiding beneath the soil by exploring real carrot roots. There’ll also be plenty of creativity with leaf art, using nature to make beautiful designs.
Students will also have the opportunity to learn about Indigenous land care practises and sustainability.
Along the way, we’ll ask big questions like “Can plants help our planet?” and “What do seeds need to grow?” — and discover the answers through fun experiments and play.
Perfect for curious minds, this interactive event is all about growing, creating, and learning how even the tiniest seed can make a big difference!
