We're about to "Dig into Science to Grow our Minds!"
Lyons Early Childhood School, our Seniors Group and Woden Community Services will join in a week filled with exploration as children are immersed in hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences designed to spark curiosity, develop problem-solving skills, and nurture a lifelong interest in STEM.
Across the week there will be a rotation of interactive science stations in classrooms and our outdoor spaces, including the school atrium. Members of the community will share their science knowledge including chats with landscapers, Indigenous community members and parents with a science background. Activities will span all areas of the science curriculum, including walks to our local Oakey Hill and gardening with our Seniors Group, demonstrating science carries across the generations.
All activities will be tailored to Early Childhood learners exploring foundational scientific concepts through experimentation, prediction, and observation.
