Celebrate National Science Week with a fun-filled exploration of science, technology and the environment at the Agnes Water Library.

This free community event brings together CQUniversity's STEM Central, teachSTEM and Agnes Water Library to deliver a range of hands-on experiences designed to inspire curiosity, discovery and lifelong learning.

Visitors will have the opportunity to engage with interactive STEM activities including robotics, digital microscopes, citizen science investigations and creative experiences inspired by Indigenous knowledge and arts. 

The event will also showcase the library’s permanent Citizen Science Corner, helping community members discover ways to stay involved in citizen science projects long after National Science Week has ended. Through practical activities and real-world examples, participants will learn how science can be used to better understand and protect local environments while developing valuable STEM skills.

Designed for students, home-school groups, children, families and community members of all ages, this engaging National Science Week activation connects classroom learning with real-world applications, encourages environmental stewardship, and highlights exciting STEM pathways and careers.
