BLUE WORLD and the Australian National Maritime Museum are delighted to invite you to the 2026 Valerie Taylor Ocean Prize celebrations, as part of National Science Week. Inspiring wonder and support for our ocean, the Valerie Taylor Ocean Prize was established by Blue World to honour the achievements of ground-breaking conservationist and marine advocate, Valerie Taylor, throughout the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development.

Join us for an exciting evening of presentations, prize announcements, and celebration during this special awards ceremony event:

  • Celebrate the 2026 Valerie Taylor Ocean Prize Recipients
  • Join marine ecologist and marine biologist, Lawrence Chlebeck. 2025 Valerie Taylor Ocean Prize recipient, and Danielle Ryan from the National Parks Association of NSW to hear about the 30 x 30 NSW initiative 
  • Witness a wonderful live performance from singer-songwriter Anaiya Mahony
  • Enjoy the museum galleries and light refreshments after the formalities conclude.
