Join us for a fun-filled day of science, nature and adventure at the Blue Gum Turtle Festival! Celebrate the incredible turtles that call our local wetlands home and become a citizen scientist for the day.

Visit the Turtle Science Hub to explore turtle anatomy, investigate wetland life under the microscope and watch live turtle tracking demonstrations. Complete hands-on activities and collect stamps in your Junior Turtle Scientist Passport as you learn about turtles, their habitats and the challenges they face.

Take a guided Wetlands Discovery Walk through beautiful Blue Gum Lake to discover local wildlife, biodiversity and how everyday people are helping scientists protect turtles through community conservation.

Meet local Turtle Trackers to hear how they monitor turtles, learn about the equipment and science behind their work, and find out how you can get involved.

Enjoy the Wetland Market and Food Village, featuring delicious food, coffee, local businesses, environmental organisations, native plants and sustainable living ideas.

Kids will love the Little Turtle Rangers Zone, with face painting, crafts, scavenger hunts, STEM activities and creative challenges. Complete the activities to earn a Turtle Ranger Certificate!
