Step into the spotlight with The Dating Game, a game show style activation that brings museum objects out from behind the glass and into your hands.
This activation invites aspiring scientists of all ages to and step into the role of a museum curator.
Explore a fascinating “dating pool” of real museum education objects, including ancient artefacts, fossils, minerals, and meteorites. Using clues and guided information, you’ll be challenged to work out their age and place them in the correct order through scientific reasoning.
For an additional challenge, discover how scientists unlock the past using techniques such as radiocarbon dating, stratigraphy, and dendrochronology. Match the right method to the object and receive feedback from our science communicators!
