Join Emma from Canberra Snake Rescue for another year of Science in the Centres, bringing her live animals to Gungahlin Marketplace in a fun and interactive stall for all ages!

Come by and take a look at a display featuring a range of Australian native reptile, amphibian, and invertebrate species. Get up close and learn about our local reptile fauna, and be empowered with knowledge to appreciate even our “scary” snakes – say hi to our Bearded Dragon 'Burrito', or pat one of our friendly pythons like 'Evee' (Green Tree Python, pictured with Emma). You can ask all your burning questions about reptiles, learn something new, have your phobias quashed, and enjoy a unique experience when you're just out for a shop at the mall.

Emma looks forward to another year to offer the Canberra community a beautiful native animal display to help educate the public about the importance of our local herpetofauna and other creepy crawlies, and ultimately improve the safety of the public, our furry best friends (dogs and cats), and our local wildlife.
