Science Day at Roselea Public School

  • - (AEST)
  • Science Day
Rocks Road, Carlingford, NSW 2118, Australia

This year, during Science Week, Roselea Public School is planning a special Science Day for every student from Kindergarten to Year 6. Thanks to the Science Grant, we’re able to buy lots of cool equipment and materials so you can do fun, hands-on experiments and activities.

On Science Day, you’ll move around different activity stations to try experiments like watching colours mix in milk using Smarties and food colouring, making mini volcanoes with vinegar and bicarb soda, and seeing awesome reactions with citric acid, oil, salt, and eggs. We’ll even use dry ice to see some really interesting changes!

You’ll also get to build circuits with lemons, batteries, light bulbs, and wires to learn about electricity, and try out magnets to see how magnetism works. There will be an ant farm so you can observe how ants live and work together, and lots of bowls, cups, spoons, trays, and jugs to help you do the experiments easily.

The grant also lets us buy any extra materials we might need for more experiments.

Science Day will be a chance for you to get curious, ask questions, and have fun exploring how science works in everyday life. We hope you’ll learn new things, gain confidence, and make great memories while discovering the exciting world of STEM!
