The Science and Engineering Challenge is a program by run by the University of Newcastle. The program travels the country each year presenting the hands-on challenge to years 5/6 and 9/10 students. The program will be visiting the Southwest of Victoria in mid-August.
Over 2 days, up to 512 students on site competing in 8 hands-on activities to be crowned champion for the year.
With a full registered program, we will have schools traveling to Warrnambool from as far as 100km away.
The Rotary Club of Warrnambool are the organisers and major sponsors of this program. They run the program every year to provide equity and access for regional and rural students to be able to participate in STEM based activities.
Monday 10th August will see the year 9/10 students compete in the Challenge Day.
Tuesday 11th August will see the year 5/6 students compete in the Discovery Day.
Registrations are taken through the local schools, so if you would like to compete, please talk to your local school.
