25 Cardo Dr, Lavington, NSW 2641, Australia

Powering the Future: Student Circuit Showcase is an exciting National Science Week event where Stage 3 students at Springdale Heights Public School will become young engineers and inventors!

Students will investigate how electricity works by designing and building their own working circuits using batteries, switches, wires, buzzers, lights and motors. Throughout the project, students will explore how electrical energy can be used to solve real-world problems and improve everyday life.

Working in teams, students will create hands-on science projects such as mini house lighting systems, simple alarms, buzzers and interactive circuit designs. Students will learn about safe electrical design, problem-solving, testing ideas and improving their creations through trial and error.

The event will finish with a student showcase where families, staff and community members can walk through displays, see working circuit projects in action and talk with students about their designs and discoveries.

This event aims to inspire curiosity, creativity and a love of STEM learning while helping students build important skills in science, technology, teamwork and innovation. Powering the Future celebrates the idea that today’s students are the scientists, engineers and inventors of tomorrow!
