Mission Possible: The Stories of Us brings together leading experts from Japan, Australia and the United States to explore the personal stories behind pioneering space missions and how international collaboration is driving the future of space exploration.

Presented as part of the 50th anniversary of the Australia–Japan Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation, this special event celebrates the enduring partnership between Australia and Japan and its growing impact on space science, exploration, education and innovation.

Hosted at the UNSW Sydney CBD Campus, the afternoon will open with special remarks from Mr Osamu Yamanaka, Consul-General of Japan in Sydney, followed by mission briefings and a moderated panel discussion featuring distinguished speakers from the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), the University of Tsukuba, Axiom Space and UNSW Sydney.

The program offers a unique perspective on the scientific achievements and human experiences behind pioneering space missions, while exploring how leadership, innovation and collaboration between Australia, Japan and global partners are shaping the future of space exploration.
