Seeds of Science – A National Science Week Symposium –
Helensvale State School Scholar Academy
Big ideas start small. A seed of curiosity. A question worth chasing. An experiment that doesn't go to plan... and the better idea that grows from failure!
This National Science Week, Helensvale State School's Scholar Academy invites you to witness what happens when young minds are given the space, the tools and the encouragement to think like scientists, engineers and designers.
Seeds of Science is a student-led symposium showcasing the investigations, inventions and discoveries of our Year 5–6 Scholar Academy students. Through hands-on exhibits, live demonstrations, interactive displays and passion projects, students will open their notebooks to the world, sharing not just what they found, but how they got there.
Wander through the exhibits. Ask a researcher a hard question. Watch an experiment unfold in real time. Be surprised.
Families, younger students and community members are warmly welcome to explore, engage and celebrate the kind of thinking that changes things.
The evening also features a special guest STEM spotlight. A real-world connection that shows where curiosity can lead and the careers, pathways and possibilities waiting for the next generation of problem-solvers.
The Seeds of Science Symposium is more than a showcase. It's proof that when you plant the right questions, something remarkable grows.
Come and see what's blooming.
