We are hosting a Brain Break to celebrate National Science Week. We'll be challenging each other with science trivia, and maybe even trying out some science experiments. This activity is just for us, but you can register for your own Brain Break at https://scienceweek.uat-webserver.com/brainbreak/

National Science Week is an exciting opportunity to celebrate the importance of science in our everyday lives and inspire students to explore curiosity, creativity, and innovation. I would like to host a brain break morning tea during recess to encourage staff to come together in a relaxed and enjoyable environment while recognising the value of science education.

The purpose of the brain break morning tea is to create a positive and engaging school community event that promotes interest in science outside the classroom. Science is not only about experiments and textbooks; it also connects to problem-solving, teamwork, discovery, and understanding the world around us. Hosting a morning tea would allow staff to celebrate these ideas in a social and interactive way.

The event would include science-themed decorations, fun trivia questions, and simple interactive activities that teachers can participate in during recess. Light refreshments such as cupcakes, biscuits, fruit, and drinks could also be provided, potentially decorated with science-related themes like planets, atoms, or laboratory symbols. This would help create a fun atmosphere and encourage greater participation.

One of the main reasons I want to host the brain break morning tea is to help staff feel more connected to science in a way that is enjoyable and inclusive. Non science staff may not normally participate in science-related activities, but a casual event during recess can make science feel more approachable and exciting.

In addition, the brain break morning tea would help promote school spirit and teamwork. Staff involved in planning and organising the event could develop leadership, communication, and organisational skills. Teachers would also have the chance to celebrate learning together, strengthening the sense of community within the school.

National Science Week encourages people across Australia to appreciate scientific achievements and discoveries. By hosting the brain break morning tea, our school can actively participate in this national celebration and show support for science education.

Overall, this event would be a fun, educational, and inclusive way to celebrate National Science Week during recess. I believe it would encourage curiosity, involvement, and create a memorable experience for the staff participating.
