Join us for this output-oriented course that will teach the essential skills and strategies needed to communicate research in science and technology to a range of non-scientifically oriented audiences.

We will help early-career scientists and researchers build confidence and media savvy required to project messages clearly and simply.

Get hands-on training in preparing material for many outlets, including in-house, local and international publications and the digital media.

Participants completing the course will acquire valuable skills, including those needed to liaise with journalists and prepare successful pitches.Worked examples, reference materials, background notes and a certificate will be provided. What previous workshop participants said:
“I felt the workshop was a great experience ... the benefits of understanding the process of scientific writing were excellent, and the knowledge and expansion of the mechanisms of the editing and publication process were also helpful". - Simon Crowe, Head, School of Psychological Science, Faculty of Science, Technology & Engineering, La Trobe University, Melbourne.
