Shoalhaven Libraries is excited to launch a new collection of Birdwatching Kits for both children and adults.
To celebrate, join us for a fascinating talk on some of the Shoalhaven's best birdwatching locations. From coastal wetlands and bushland reserves to local parks and beaches, you'll discover where to find some of the region's most interesting birdlife and pick up practical tips for spotting and identifying birds.
Birdwatching is a great way to slow down, spend time outdoors and connect with nature. It's also an opportunity to contribute to real scientific research through citizen science projects such as the Aussie Bird Count and iNaturalist. By recording and sharing your observations, you can help scientists monitor bird populations and better understand our local environment.
Our new Birdwatching Kits make it easy to get started. Available to borrow from Shoalhaven Libraries, the kits include binoculars, bird identification guides, activity sheets, and other resources designed to help you explore the wonderful variety of birds found across the Shoalhaven.
Whether you're a complete beginner, a family looking for a new outdoor activity, or a keen bird enthusiast, this is a chance to learn more about local birds, discover great birdwatching spots, and see what's included in the new kits.
Come along and be among the first to explore this exciting new library collection.
