BEE Curious! Get up close and personal with honeybees in a truly magical experience celebrating pollination, honey and the great outdoors.

Kiama Business Network's 2026 and 2025 Business of the Year winners join forces for National Science Week! Bee Inspired (2026) and Burnetts on Barney (2025) invite you to celebrate this year's theme: Seeds of Science: Nurturing Knowledge for All — a day celebrating curiosity, shared learning, and how ideas grow within nature.

What's in store:

Discover the lifecycle of a bee, their roles within the hive, how pollination works, and how bees make honey — and why they're crucial to saving our planet. Suit up in a real bee suit, open a live beehive, and try to spot the Queen among her 40,000 subjects. Finish with a honey tasting straight from the hive, browse the educational displays, and wander the beautiful nursery for a plant or gift to take home.
