SCINEMA Event Description Hosted By Kirup Primary School

Get ready for a week of mini-movie magic and hands-on scientific discovery!

As part of our National Science Week celebrations, our Junior Primary class (Kindergarten to Year 2) is transforming our classroom into a special SCINEMA picture theatre. We are tuning in to watch short, exciting films from the SCINEMA Junior collection that show how science works in the real world—from amazing animal movements to cool discoveries.

After enjoying our short films, our young scientists will jump straight into action with hands-on Physical Science challenges. We will be investigating how things move, push, and pull! Students will build cardboard marble runs, test how friction changes speed, and experiment with sound vibrations to make rice dance on a drum.

This event gives our youngest learners a fun, visual way to explore physics and spark a lifelong curiosity about how the world works.
