Ask an Ocean Expert

  • - (AEST)

Have you ever wondered if sharks sleep, how seabirds migrate across entire oceans, or what it really takes to protect endangered marine species?

This National Science Week, from 15 to 23 August, your class is invited to put their curiosity to the test by asking ocean experts from the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) about our amazing underwater world.

Whether you're investigating food webs, marine biology, sustainability, or are simply fascinated by life beneath the waves, we'd love to hear what your students are curious about.

Our experts include specialists in:

  • Sharks and other marine wildlife
  • Seabirds and ocean ecosystems
  • Tuna and sustainable fisheries
  • Ocean conservation and endangered species
  • Climate change and healthy oceans
  • Sustainable seafood and responsible fishing
  • Behaviour change and how people can help protect our blue planet

Choose the format that works best for your classroom:

  • Live video call – chat with an expert and ask questions in real time.
  • Recorded video response – send us your questions and receive a personalised video answer.
  • Email Q&A – perfect for thoughtful questions and follow-up discussions in class.

Arrange your class Q&A by completing the booking form below.
