Set in 1969, The Dish tells the story of a group of Australian scientists who played an important part in sharing the first moon landing with the world. Working from a large radio telescope in country New South Wales, they faced storms, equipment problems and a lot of pressure while helping broadcast this historic event.
After the film, Mark Price will share real stories about what it was like to work at Parkes and answer questions about space, science and the moon landing.
