Join us at Griffith University EcoCentre to learn more about green solutions for Brisbane urban environments. This event will feature a public talk by Professor Catherine Pickering on the value of Brisbane's community gardens, the important role they play in supporting urban greening and the diverse plants they grow.
The event will also celebrate the launch of Griffith University's new biodiversity book, Native Trees for Streets and Gardens in South East Queensland. This practical guide showcases 40 suitable native tree species that can help enhance Brisbane's streets, gardens and urban biodiversity as the city prepares for the Olympic Games.
Everyone who attends will receive a free copy of the book and a plant to take home, either a tree or an herb.
