Seeds of Discovery is a week-long immersive STEM program designed to nurture the potential of students at The Ponds High School through inquiry-based investigations.

Our goal is to plant the seeds of scientific curiosity during National Science Week by engaging students with real-world problems that call for innovative solutions. Throughout the week, students will cultivate their ideas through exploration, experimentation, and critical thinking. By applying the scientific method, they will develop essential STEM skills, resilience, and problem-solving abilities.

As their understanding deepens, we expect these ideas to take root and grow into creative, practical solutions, represented by interactive models that showcase the ‘fruit’ of their efforts. At the culmination of the week, these budding scientists will present their work to the local community. The showcase will offer students the opportunity to discuss their findings, share ideas, and seek advice from members of the scientific community, fostering a lasting passion for STEM.
