This panel event will showcase the collaborative efforts across DETSI to conserve the Great Barrier Reef region. Highlighting the projects, teams and people working to improve water quality, protect marine ecosystems and support evidence-based policy, the event will demonstrate how DETSI is helping secure a sustainable future for the Reef and the communities and industries that depend on it. Grounded in world-class science and evidence, these programs show how research, monitoring, innovation and expertise inform decision-making. With remarks from the Director-General and the Queensland Chief Scientist, the panel will explore the critical role of DETSI's teams while celebrating the work underway to ensure the Reef can be enjoyed by local communities and tourists for generations to come.
