The Cairns Port Douglas Reef Hub stand at the National Science Week launch event is your opportunity to connect with the people, organisations and initiatives making a real difference to reef resilience across the Cairns region. Whether you're a student, teacher, tourism operator, community volunteer, conservation enthusiast or simply someone who loves the Reef, there's a place for you in this growing network.

Explore hands-on coral identification activities, discover how community scientists are helping monitor coral recovery, and hear inspiring stories from Indigenous Land and Sea Rangers building careers in reef conservation. Learn how researchers, tourism operators, Traditional Owners and local organisations are working together to protect the Reef through practical action and shared knowledge.

Most importantly, discover how you can get involved. From training programs and citizen science projects to Lunch & Learn events and local monitoring activities, Reef Hub provides pathways for people of all backgrounds to contribute to reef stewardship.

Come along, make new connections and see how collective action is helping strengthen the future of the Great Barrier Reef. The Reef belongs to all of us, and everyone can play a role in its protection.
