During National Science Week, young explorers can discover scientific concepts through story-inspired activities including Flying Butterflies, Paper Kites, Chimney Sweep Spinners, Paper Cup Carousels, and Chalk Paint. A special Toddler Science session will be held on Wednesday at 10:30am.
Book Week (22-28 August) continues the adventure with imaginative crafts from the magical world of Mary Poppins, featuring Mary Poppins Hats, Rocking Penguins, Cellophane Stained Glass Kites, Paper Umbrellas, and Swinging Chimney Sweeps.
Held daily from 3:30pm, the program encourages children to connect stories, creativity, science, and imagination while developing new skills through interactive craft and STEAM-based activities. Suitable for children and families of all ages, this welcoming community event celebrates reading, learning, and creativity in a fun and accessible library environment.
