The Centenary Institute’s annual When Art Meets Science Image Prize celebrates the fascinating intersection of scientific discovery and visual creativity.
On 16 July 2026, researchers, supporters and members of the community came together for the official exhibition launch and announcement of this year’s judged category winners. The competition invites Centenary Institute researchers, staff and students to share striking images generated through their work, revealing a side of medical research that is rarely seen outside the laboratory.
First place: Landscape of Renewal by Dr Mojdeh Abbasi
Second place: Into the Galaxy by Serena Li
Third place: Between Attachment and Escape by Dr Thuy Luong
