Get ready for a day full of bangs, bubbles, smoke and surprises! For National Science Week, Shoalhaven High Science Club will take over the school hall for a full day of exciting hands-on science experiments and demonstrations for students.
Throughout the day, students will explore science through safe and engaging demonstrations such as exploding volcanoes, flaming balloons and dry ice clouds. These activities will help students see how science explains exciting real-world phenomena, including chemical reactions, gases, pressure, temperature and changes in materials.
This in-person event is designed to make science easy to understand, fun to watch and exciting to take part in. By leading the demonstrations, Shoalies’ Science Club students will help share their curiosity and enthusiasm with others across the school.
By taking part in National Science Week, Shoalies’ Science Club hopes to spark interest, build confidence and plant the seed of a lasting passion for science.
