The Art and Science of Toddler Wrangling – Online

  • - (AEST)

Calling all toddler parents!

Join Penny Jones, Harry Edwards and Isaac Gee for a fun, down-to-earth journey into the art and science of toddler wrangling.

We’re toddler parents ourselves – so we get it. Life with a toddler is beautiful, fun, messy, chaotic, unpredictable and often challenging. It’s a LOT. And they still need us so very much. So how can we best support them (while staying sane ourselves)? A bit of science (plus music) can help.

Join us for a fun, accessible dive into the wonderful world of toddlers’ brains – and how to use that knowledge to help them regulate, re-set and recharge.

We’ll use storytelling, music and lots of discussion, no fancy words, and there’ll be plenty of practical tools to take away.

From Isaac and Harry, there will be some tips and tricks from music therapy, and from Penny, there will be body-based nervous system tools. We’ll try these out in the session, so you can experience how they can support our toddlers (and ourselves).

We’ll cover:

  • Toddler brain development ‘101’ (and why it matters)
  • Why big emotions are an inevitable part of toddler parenting and life
  • The difference between tantrums and meltdowns
  • The art and science of co-regulation
  • How music therapy and body-based tools can support our toddlers to re-set, regulate and recharge
  • Self-care strategies for parents
