As part of National Science Week 2026, Prep to Year 6 students will participate in a hands-on learning experience inspired by this year's theme. Students will investigate the remarkable world of seeds, exploring how these tiny structures contain the information needed for plants to grow, adapt, and thrive. Through inquiry, observation, and experimentation, students will discover the important role seeds play in ecosystems and food production. To bring their learning to life, every student will create a Terrific Terrarium, planting seeds and building a miniature ecosystem that they can observe and care for over time. This engaging experience will encourage curiosity, scientific thinking, and a deeper appreciation of the natural world.
