Questacon’s Engineering is Elementary team are bringing a FREE STEM professional learning workshop you this August. Explore the mechanical engineering behind windmills and equip yourself with hands-on activities to use in your classroom.

In this FREE workshop, you will: 

• ​Get hands-on with mechanical engineering and activities from the ‘Catching the Wind: Designing Windmills’ unit of work. 

• Develop effective strategies to teach STEM content, and skills, to meet the learning needs of your students.    

• Gain the confidence to teach STEM in your classroom through the Engineering Design Process.     

After the workshop, we’ll send you a resource kit and unit of work so you can run Engineering is Elementary in your classroom. You’ll also be connected to a national community of practice for ongoing collaboration and support.  

This workshop is best suited to primary school teachers but can also be beneficial to other educators. 

The workshop is free, but bookings are essential.
