Science Week 2026: Discover, Explore, Innovate!
Get ready for an exciting week of science, technology, engineering and mathematics! Science Week is packed with hands-on activities, inspiring guest speakers and amazing student projects that will show how science helps us understand and improve the world around us.
This year, students will have the chance to meet former students from our school at our STEM Careers Expo. These alumni now work in a range of exciting science, engineering and technology careers and will share their experiences, answer questions and provide ideas for future pathways.
Students can also enter our Microscope Image Competition, where they will use microscopes to capture fascinating images of tiny objects and living things that are normally invisible to the naked eye. Creativity, observation and scientific curiosity will be celebrated through this competition.
Our Year 7 students will take part in a Science Regatta, designing and testing boats to see which can travel the fastest, carry the most weight or perform the best on the water. This exciting challenge combines engineering, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
The Science Club Showcase will highlight the fantastic work of our Science Club members. Students will demonstrate projects, investigations and experiments they have been working on throughout the year.
To finish the week, students will present a fun and interactive Science Show for our junior school. Expect exciting demonstrations, surprising experiments and plenty of opportunities to learn something new while having fun.
Whether you love science already or are simply curious about how things work, Science Week has something for everyone. Join us as we celebrate discovery, creativity and innovation!
