We have been resurrecting our vegetable garden. Over a few days during science week students K-6 will investigate our garden of science, linking classroom learning to nature and everyday experience. Students will rotate through actvities such as analysing the soil health and soil life of our garden, leaf chromatography, extraction of DNA from our strawberries, building bug houses, celery xylem experiment and flower dissection. Families and community members will be invited to join in the sessions. Students will choose one activity to 'report' on - writing an article, or through art or other creative choice. These can then be shared with the greater community.
