Kilcoy State School Science Fair
Welcome to two exciting days of discovery, creativity and hands-on science at our National Science Week Science Fair 2026, inspired by this year's theme, Seeds of Science: Nurturing Science for All.
On 19–20 August 2026, students from Prep to Year 6 will showcase their curiosity, innovation and problem-solving skills through a range of interactive exhibits, investigations and STEM challenges. Visitors will explore how small ideas can grow into amazing scientific discoveries that help shape our future.
The Science Fair will feature student-designed projects, engineering challenges, coding and robotics displays, environmental investigations, agricultural science exhibits and hands-on activities that encourage everyone to think like a scientist. Community organisations, local experts and industry partners will also share real-world science experiences and demonstrate how STEM is used to solve everyday problems.
Families and community members are invited to join us as we celebrate scientific thinking, creativity and collaboration. Throughout the event, visitors will have opportunities to ask questions, participate in activities and learn about the many ways science connects to our lives.
This event aims to inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers, innovators and problem-solvers by showing that science starts with curiosity and grows through exploration, experimentation and learning together.
