This National Science Week, students will investigate the world of dinosaurs through a range of hands-on learning experiences. They will examine fossils and ancient seed specimens to discover how scientists use evidence from the past to understand prehistoric environments and the plants that existed alongside dinosaurs.
Students will also participate in a cooking activity using seeds and plant-based ingredients, providing an opportunity to explore the importance of seeds in sustaining life and how plants have changed over time. These activities connect with this year's National Science Week theme, Seeds of Science: Nurturing Knowledge for All, by encouraging students to ask questions, make observations and develop an understanding of how scientific knowledge grows from evidence and discovery.
