Founded in 2024 by a group of enterprising Year 9 students, the Parkdale Science Fair brings together curious minds from Years 5 to 12 and local primary schools to celebrate hands‑on STEM. After attracting hundreds of entries across six feeder schools, Parkdale students and staff in 2025, the Fair returns in 2026 bigger and bolder with mega prizes across primary and secondary categories including scientific writing, arts and models, photography, and experiments. Plus, staff entries from a range of participating schools.
Join us for the Showcase Evening on Thursday 20 August which will be an energetic celebration of creativity and inquiry with music, games, workshops, prizes and project displays. Visitors can explore interactive activities on the physics of flight, green chemistry and real‑world sustainability projects. Students gain practical experience with the scientific method, data reliability, science communication, model and design thinking, and collaborative project work as many schools are already embedding Fair projects into their curriculum.
Whether you are a student, teacher, family member or community partner, the Parkdale Science Fair is a welcoming space to inspire STEM participation, showcase innovation, and connect our community through science.
