Get ready to grow your curiosity at our Seeds of Science P–9 Inquiry Expo for National Science Week 2026!

Our event is all about discovering how science helps us understand the world and how small ideas can grow into big discoveries. Inspired by the 2026 theme, Seeds of Science: Nurturing knowledge for all, students from Prep to Year 9 will take part in fun, hands-on investigations that explore plants, soil, pollination, biodiversity and sustainability.

Primary students will investigate questions such as: What do seeds need to grow? How do plants survive? Why are insects and pollinators important? Secondary students will take their learning further by designing fair tests, collecting data and exploring real-world topics like soil health, food production and environmental change.

Throughout the week, classes will rotate through interactive science stations where students can observe, predict, test, measure and record results. They will use simple equipment and materials to carry out experiments, build models and create displays that explain what they have learned. Students will then share their work with other classes, families and the wider school community through a whole-school science showcase.

This event is especially exciting for our school because it supports the growth of science learning across all year levels and helps students see STEM as creative, practical and connected to everyday life. Our goal is to build confidence, spark curiosity and show every student that science is for them.

Come and celebrate National Science Week with us as we plant the seeds of discovery and grow the scientists, problem-solvers and innovators of the future!
