Our week-long, whole school initiative ‘Sowing the Seeds of Curiosity’ will engage our Prep to Year 6 students and staff in a range of developmentally appropriate hands-on, inquiry-based learning investigations that build curiosity and strong foundations in STEM. Activities will be administered during learning time for inclusive participation.

Prep – Seed Detectives: Observe real fruits and vegetables using seeds as clues to sort and classify.
Year 1 – Cloud Seeding: Investigate weather through Cloud Seeding, learning about cloud formation and creating cloud finders to observe the sky. Year 2 – From Scrap to Sprout: Turn old paper into something magical by creating plantable seed paper, discovering how recycling and science can work together to grow new life.
Year 3 – Let’s Grow a Crystal: It’s not just plants that grow from seeds—grow sparkling crystals and watch as tiny particles build into stunning solid structures.
Year 4 – What's inside a seed?: Dissect seeds to discover how seeds protect, feed and grow new life.
Year 5 & 6 – Seed Dispersal Engineering Challenge: Explore how real seeds travel and design, build and test a ‘super seed’ to see which goes the distance.

Whole school Science Fair display, showcasing student investigations to parents and announcing winners.
