Our National Science Week event will feature students displaying their developing prototypes, scientific investigations, and design solutions that address real-world problems.
Students will present their work to peers, younger classes, staff, and families, explaining the science, engineering design processes, and problem-solving strategies that underpin their projects.
The showcase will function as both a celebration of student learning and a structured opportunity for participants to practise communicating complex scientific ideas clearly and confidently to an audience. Students will receive feedback from visitors and teachers to help them refine their designs and presentations prior to the STEM MAD event. The activity promotes inquiry-based learning, scientific thinking, and innovation while also inspiring younger students to engage with STEM learning pathways. By sharing their work publicly, students develop communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills while demonstrating how science and engineering can be applied to address meaningful challenges in their community.
